Lady Vikes Struggle in Back-to-Back Matches Against Yakima Valley and Columbia Basin

The Big Bend Community College Lady Vikes hosted the Yakima Valley Yaks on Wednesday, October 22nd, at the DeVries Activity Center, hoping to bounce back after being swept in their previous outing. Unfortunately, the night didn't go as planned for BBCC, as they dropped the opening set 25–8 after a tough battle.

The Lady Vikes showed more fight in the second set, keeping things close before ultimately falling 25–22. Yakima Valley closed out the match in the third set with a dominant 25–11 win to complete the sweep. Reagan Golladay led the way offensively for Big Bend with six kills, while Edyn Marlatt tallied 10 assists in the loss.

The Lady Vikes then hit the road for a matchup against the Columbia Basin Hawks in Pasco, where they faced another challenging opponent. The Hawks controlled the match from start to finish, defeating BBCC in straight sets by scores of 25–16, 25–16, and 25–20. Trinity Dodson paced the Lady Vikes with five kills, and Haedynn Plum recorded a team-high 12 assists.

Now on a three-match skid following back-to-back wins earlier in the month, the Lady Vikes will look to regroup and get back on track when they travel to Spokane on October 31 to take on the Spokane Sasquatch.
