Kaitlyn Rizo joins the Big Bend Community College volleyball program as the new assistant coach for the upcoming season. A former collegiate athlete with a strong background in player development and team leadership, Rizo brings passion and energy to the Viking volleyball family. She is committed to helping student-athletes grow both on and off the court and is excited to be part of the program’s continued success.

“We’re excited to welcome Kaitlyn to our Viking family,” said Benjamin Griffin, Big Bend Athletic Director. “Her energy, knowledge, and commitment to student-athlete development will be a great addition to our program and campus community.”

Kaitlyn is from Nevada, she played volleyball and softball and was offered a double scholarship for both sports out of high school, but she chose to focus on softball. She continued to love watching and supporting her college volleyball program and kept a passion for it. She has a BA in sports management, and recently graduated from ISU with a masters in Athletic Administration.

In Kaitlyn’s free time she likes to spend time outdoors with her dog Knox.

We are excited to have Kaitlyn join our program and to also be the head softball coach for Big Bend.
