Lady Vikes Close Out Season on a High Note with Sweep Over Wenatchee Valley
With just two games left in the regular season, the Big Bend Community College Lady Vikes hit the road to Walla Walla for a tough matchup against the Warriors. Despite a strong effort, the Vikes were unable to overcome the home team, falling in three straight sets by scores of 25–17, 25–17, and 25–14.
While the result wasn't what they hoped for, several Lady Vikes stood out in the loss. Oaklee Woosley put together a stellar offensive performance, recording double-digit kills with 10. Setter Haedynn Plum ran the offense efficiently, handing out 19 assists, while Jersie Pace added six kills and Charley Utley contributed four kills of her own.
Returning home for their final match of the season, the Lady Vikes hosted Wenatchee Valley College in what is traditionally a night to honor the team's sophomores. However, with a young roster featuring no second-year players, BBCC instead focused on setting the tone for the 2026 campaign.
The Lady Vikes came out determined and energized, dominating from start to finish to complete a clean 3–0 sweep over Wenatchee Valley. The win served as a statement victory and a confidence boost heading into the offseason.
BBCC closed out its 2025 season on a high note — a sign of growth and promise for the youthful squad as they look ahead to building on this momentum next year.
