The Big Bend Community College Lady Vikings wrapped up a busy week that began on Wednesday, October 1, with a long road trip to Ontario, Oregon, to face Treasure Valley Community College. After the lengthy drive, the Lady Vikes struggled to find their rhythm, falling in three straight sets by scores of 25–15, 25–5, and 25–19.
Reagan Golladay and Charley Utley led the way offensively for Big Bend, tallying four kills each, while Edyn Marlatt set the pace with 11 assists.
Following a quick turnaround, the Lady Vikes were back in action on Friday, hosting Spokane Falls Community College. Despite showing strong fight in the first two sets, BBCC ultimately fell in another three-set match, 25–20, 25–23, and 25–11.
Now on a five-match skid to start conference play, the Lady Vikes will look to bounce back when they host the Walla Walla Warriors on Tuesday, October 8, at the DeVries Activity Center.
