Vikings Surge Past Sasquatch, 83-57, as Regular Season Winds Down
Entering the final stretch of the regular season, the Big Bend Community College men's basketball team hit the road for a crucial matchup against Spokane Falls Community College and the Sasquatch.
The Vikings wasted no time asserting themselves.
BBCC came out gunning in the opening half, knocking down shots and setting the tone defensively to build a commanding 46–32 lead heading into the break. Their offensive rhythm and defensive intensity proved too much for the Sasquatch to handle.
Determined to close things out strong, the Vikings kept their foot on the gas in the second half. BBCC sprinted through the finish line, pulling away for an emphatic 83–57 victory.
Jakari Singleton and Miguel Taylor delivered stellar performances, each pouring in 24 points to lead the charge. Sugar Eaton and Kayden Meadows added to the offensive surge, both contributing double-digit efforts to round out a balanced scoring attack.
As a team, BBCC shot an efficient 49 percent from the field and dished out 14 assists, showcasing unselfish play and strong ball movement in one of their most complete performances of the season.
With momentum on their side, the Vikings now set their sights on the final two games of the regular season. BBCC will travel to face Walla Walla Community College this Saturday in a matchup against the Warriors as they look to carry their late-season surge into the postseason.
